Flux and Flame

Flux & Flame was conceptualised amongst the lush surroundings of Wurundjeri Country in Naarm (Melbourne) by Karlie Sheppard, drawing inspiration from the rugged beauty of the local bushlands.

With a strong focus on small-batch production, every piece is slowly handcrafted using the ancient technique of sand casting. This technique requires each piece to undergo an intricate process of carving, texturing, hand-pouring and polishing; resulting in a piece that is perfectly imperfect and completely unique.

For Karlie, Flux & Flame is a passion project; a journey dedicated to artistic exploration where she challenges her perception of perfection in order to create bespoke and individualised pieces of jewellery.
